Tool and Die Repair Technician

Overview:

This individual will repair a variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and templates. Responsible for inspection of fixtures, gauges, and similar devices.

Requirements:

  • Recent work experience within tool and die repair
  • Working experience with an EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) system
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

About the role:

  • Monday-Thursday, 2pm-12:30am (10 hour shifts), OT not common, but as needed
  • Training would be during dayshift hours

  • Pay rate: $29.36/hour
  • Located in Canton, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Work from EAM work orders and record labor and inventory transactions in EAM.
  • Work from production schedule to stage housing side and utility press dies.
  • Take Dies apart and change out details to run a variety of different parts.
  • Troubleshoot operating problems with tools and dies, determining appropriate action and making repairs.
  • Disassemble worn or damaged die, determine extent of wear or damage, repair, replace, adjust, prepare and tryout die.
  • Alter and repair a variety of tools, templates and dies.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring instruments to maintain close tolerances.
  • Read and interpret Blueprints and check parts to verify they match the drawings.
  • Assist with die setting at presses.
  • Operate and walk behind forklift and overhead crane as required.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Heavy lifting as required.
